Clinton Sycophancy

Sycophancy is a common activity of some folks. Perceiving perfection in another, the sycophant thinks, with enough praise he can somehow elevate himself. In fact, from a moral standpoint, the sycophant is degraded by the very activity he believes will elevate him.

The current level of Clinton sycophancy in this country is a case in point. As the sycophancy has increased, Clinton's popularity has also increased. This should not be a surprise. Most folks view sycophancy as a vile and revolting act, and they are correct. Those who shamelessly praise the Clintons, are, in actuality, morally lower than the Clintons. (Yes, Hillary gets praised even more than Bill, at times.) It is to their infinite credit that Bill and Hillary have fooled so many for so long. Hillary's comment that there is a "right wing conspiracy" aimed at bringing down her husband is probably one of the lamest and shameless spins they have tried to date.

One can ask, too, what exactly it is that this sycophancy is supposed to accomplish? Is it good for the country? Hardly. The sycophant's aren't interested in what is good for the country. They have an agenda, and that agenda is to suck up to anyone who they think can give them something or allow them to continue their delusions, at any cost. Is this a patriotic concept? Hardly. And that is a great irony, in that most of these folks are liberal types who have always pretended to be better than the "average" American.

There will always be people who stand "holier than thou", ready to suck up where needed. These people would do better to examine their own lives, try to impress themselves rather than others, and volunteer to help others. Volunteerism in this country is at an all-time high, despite what the Clintons have done to it. The Clinton's have played this charade for too long. And all the while feeling smug and invoking executive privilege to hide the facts. Wouldn't it be nice if they would, just once, stand up to those "morals" the sycophant's claim they have?

Now there's a concept!
