Christopher: Quantum earnings warning, after the bell; cited hard drive inventory problems and price competition as part of the problem. Looking for a break-even or slightly better quarter but improvement by June. I just don't think you will be getting too enthusiastic tonight. Not likely to see your overnight upticks. The Quantum news could affect Adaptec price tomorrow. Hard to say. Mark just may get his opportunity to buy a bit cheaper. Even though Adaptec warned--sort of--in the conference call after the Symbios announcement, it has not "officially" warned for this quarter. I wonder whether or not we'll get one. The warning last quarter was late, I think, coming only 12 days before earnings. (The conspiracy theorists would have Adaptec management warn to drive down the price so all those insiders who sold at 50 can buy back at 18 with Mark. ;-) ). Starowl
