In both the secular and the Christian understanding of forgiveness, the forgivor must have been wronged by the forgive. I was confused by Dr. Graham's point of view. Was he forgiving Mr. Clinton's actions because as an American citizen he thought he'd been wronged? If so, was he trying to be an example to the other 250 million of us?.

Also, is forgiveness appropriate if the offender refuses to admit he's done anything wrong? Repentance is an absolute requirement in the Christian sense.
