Though I agree with much of what you said I don't know about deliberately making the revenue contingent. That's a little difficult to do unless you have a real doozy of a contract which is very open to interpretation. I think the primary way any revenue is deferred (except that which obviously has to be deferred) is to simply say the contract was not received by the quarter end cut off date though even that can get tricky in that the sales rep is going to get paid if the contract was actually there. No way around that at all.
