Hi Tom- You probably recall that I had that affliction as well. Not a day trader, but very short term. It was very difficulty to become profitable and it took a lot of mental discipline to live with the small returns trade after trade. I found I could only keep at it for a few weeks at a time. There was a message there that I was ignoring. Pure luck got me to consider doing something else (an overnight double in 2 stocks) and if it hadn't been for chance surfing on *P a couple weeks before, I wouldn't have spotted the AIM thread... in fact, it was spotting a post by Bill R. that caused me to read a little and catch the drift of what AIM was about. Some things are just meant to be, I guess.

Since the vast majority of my trading is in my IRA, I don't have to struggle with cap gains yet. Btw, any one out there know if it's possible to change an IRA to a Roth IRA?

You aren't the only one that appreciates a fair amount of free time. What a magnificent change from the 14-hr days I was spending chained to the computer. Richard Estes used to tell me that I was probably trying to trade in the wrong time frame, but I couldn't fathom what he meant. I thought everyone was doing the same thing that I was!! :-) That extra time allowed me to sail back from Hawaii last year and will allow me to go to NZ & Australia this year. So this has been a great change for me.

Bruce
