If you interpret my attempts to encourage people to invest elsewhere where they will have, in my not humble opinion, a better probability for a better return on investment, as rude, so be it.
I have watched (and received e-mail from) relatively naive investors ride this stock down for substantial losses because they have followed the convoluted logic of certain posters who are trying to justify to themselves their own investments.
This stock is out of favor and with good reason. It will fluctuate up or down a half a point or a point for a long time. If you are satisfied with a half a point or a point, after commissions, covering the spread, and paying taxes, more power to you. But many people on this thread expect more than that, and I flatly don't think CNTR will provide those returns, at least not for a year or more, if ever. There's too many other places for the industrial money to go.
I personally bought some stock several years ago in this company at 13, while I was a potential customer. Two senior managers there encouraged me, saying that everything was going to be rosy, (revenue- wise, our deal-wise and product-wise). Nothing worked out, and I got out at around 9. I have a friend who used to work with Gupta through a business situation, and he said they were totally messed up in every conceivable way (this is within 4 - 5 months from today). I think the former president, Umang Gupta, let his personal ego interfere with what was best for the stockholders, when Oracle was interested in the acquisition. In fact, my understanding is that Umang made an internal presentation at the time, saying he would not let ORCLE buy them out. Here is a perfect example of a CEO not fulfilling his fiduciary duty.
I have invested in several companies over the years that ended up with one of those shareholders lawsuits. In every case, I passed on participation, because I believe that in general, you should do the research, and pay the penalty. IFMX and Acuson are two examples where I would have collected some money ($1000's), but I let it go. Gupta is the only one in which I sent in my papers to collect.
IF you are offended by the phrase, "you are nuts," then sorry for you that your self-esteem is so frail. I have received, observed and given plenty stronger in the real world and managed to survive. What would you like, "IMHO, pretty please with sugar on it"?
IF I am wrong about CNTR, and it goes up, so it won't be the first or last time. But, don't hide behind a losing stock situation by pointing to a reply that isn't phrased how you like it.
