To All: I have been following this thread for the last few weeks and am very impressed with the intelligent and factual discussions to date. My compliments to Mark B, S&B Clouthier, and all others. Until now I have been content to be a passive reader but now feel strongly I have to contribute what information I have. I have invested in this company since late 1995. As with all venture companies working with foreign goverment agencies, the progress is slow, tedious, and many times disappointing to investors. I think everyone who have dealt with goverment agencies, including our own, would attest to that. My point is that you have invested in a serious and committed company with honest and hardworking officers working towards an achievable and most laudable goal, financially and morally. I have my share of disappointments with this company. But do not forget that You are investing in a junior company at Fridays closing with a market capitalization of just over $50 million CDN BUT ON THE VERGE OF BREAKTHROUGH TO MILLIONS $ in contracts with foreign governments. We have a firm contract with the company supplying the ecological agency in Mexico responsible for cleaning up its gross air pollution problem. After the $2 million initial contract, things will progress rapidly, this is the letter of intent for further conversions. People, this is something many companies would dearly love to achieve. Look closely at the principal companies behind this project, HydroQuebec, Gazprom, etc. Enough said for Mexico. As for Japan, the AFS principal partners are owned by some of the largest corporations in Japan, including Obayashi, their equivalent of Federal Express. READ THE ANNUAL REPORT. I have independently verified this in Japan with Japnese business people. We have no contracts that I know of as yet, but at the same token, they appear to continue to work with ATF on ongoing projects. Korea as we all know is in a serious currency crisis, I do not expect anything from them for a while.
NOW, FOR MR. BAINES' ARTICLE, yes, as a shareholder I share the disappointments when the Moscow contract did not firm up due to Moscow Transit very poor financial conditon. We have read pitiful stories of proud members of the great RED ARMY begging in the streets. Do you blame ATF for this, for low can you go Mr. Baines. Many other allegations can and should be explained by Mr. Klopp and company.
In closing, let me say that I do not think that this company is without weaknesses, far from it. I have been pressing them to build a website for a while. Their Investor Relations department needs a complete overhaul and upgrade, to put it mildly. But I have met Mr. Klopp at annual meetings, and I trust him as an honest businessman, with a strong committment to this company. THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN AROUND FOR 13 YEARS as Mark said. Yes I have been angry at the company many times in the past for lack of information, and I hope that Mr. Baines article would correct this. More importantly for serious investors as opposed to day traders, day trading being a business most investors are notoriously poor at, please look closely and compare the company's share price (2.19 on Friday) and its advance developments and contracts, with companies like Westport, 3.65 I believe, or Ballard, which is testing its first buses only last week, at $145.00 and use your own investing evaluations. WE WILL BE REWARDED. |
