jlallen, I did not indict lawyers in general!! And I have made it clear that I did not. Obviously, if you know everything about how the legal system operates, and you have no integrity besides, it is easier to avoid the consequences of your behavior. That does not mean all attorneys would do that.
The Clinton motto is obfuscate first, and hope the problem goes away. I do not think they are quite as clever as they think they are, however. It was pretty amusing that they rushed Kathleen Willey's letters to the White House to the press the day after the 60 Minutes interview (James Carville's motto: speed kills!), totally forgetting they claimed to not possess any in the Jones proceedings, when they were subpoeanaed. Ha ha!! Obstruction of justice!!
And then to weakly and falsely assert afterwards that those under the control of Clinton, as opposed to the control of the White House, fall into a separate category when the subpoena clearly asked for ALL documents in either category, is ludicrous. I guess they are slipping or something.! It gets harder and harder to keep your story straight, the more things you lie about. |
