Mark, I agree, job listings can be interpreted in a number of ways.
as for SOES it means Small Order Execution System.

SOES trading tend to turn up when there is an imbalance in the trading. In effect SOES "bandits" trade on the volatility of a stock that results from a mismatch between large order buyers/sellers and small order buyers/sellers. If some fund dumps 100K shares at market than the market makers will drop the price by a certain preprogrammed amount (i.e. 1/4 or 1/2). If you have level II you can see this sell order come through and sell or short-sell ahead of this order, once the order is serviced, 1 to 2 min. later, you cover. You pick up a 1/4 or so per trade. At least that's the theory.

P.s I didn't know that anyone actual paid any attention to what I wrote. Usually I just get accused of hyping or trashing a stock. It's nice to think that my opinion has value.
