Re: Adaptec earnings warning (which may or may not happen) I'm not sure a warning for the current quarter would be relevant to those investors interested in Adaptec. Seems to me we're in the early stages of the "Chicken" discounting game, with folks hanging on the sidelines hoping to jump in at the bottom at the appearance of the proper auguries for a long term turnaround. What those are I'm not sure. I jumped in the other day notwithstanding a really crummy looking chart, because I don't buy into the concept that Adaptec is hurt long term by the cheaper PC's, and because I don't believe the chart stuff anyway. I sorta liked Adaptec's CEO's characterization (with the news release regarding Symbios) that Adaptec was in the "information moving" business. Now that sounds kinda sexy, when you think of it, and a fairly durable concept notwithstanding the price of PCs. JG
