All the way back to JQ Adams, who skinny dipped daily in the Potomac. I heard that Andrew Jackson asked the Justice Department to appoint Martin Van Buren as special prosecutor to investigate whether Mr. Adams asked Dolly Madison to lie about their little tryst while the British were sacking Washington to the Grand Jury holding hearings on whether Adams profited on land speculation in what is now Missouri prior to the Louisiana Purchase.
