I was going to post this to the Feeling thread but since the subject came up and this happened last night on the way to the driving range I thought I would share it here. I took my three youngest with me ( 8,8,6). On the way we heard Charlie Daniels' "Devil Went Down to Georgia". I knew they hadn't heard this before and I know the boys like to hear a good rock song ( They really like Queen and Red Hot Chili Peppers). After the song was over Peter asked me who won and I said Johnny. He asked who the devil was. I said noone - just lyrics in the song - the devil. He persisted for an answer and I said nobody - it was just in the song as a symbol. I then told him that the devil didn't exist because why would God create something evil. At that point all three of them disagreed with me and said the devil did exist. After some back and forth they explained to me that God didn't create the devil - the devil was an angel that became jealous of God and now anyone who does evil belongs to him. Anyway - I thought it was cool that they could disagree with me and keep their beliefs. I did not tell them if they were right or wrong nor did I tell them I was right or wrong. Its nice just to discuss things. Tom
