Greetings Graystone,

"our destiny lies in the future, not the past."

For perhaps the most gifted writer on SI, I find this statement lacking.
It idicates that your god is "The Future".

Your statement that "our destiny lies in the future, not the past" is the same as saying: what is to come lies in what is to come. Absurd, but even more importantly, untrue.

What is to come, the destiny of all men, lies in how each single man in the present views one single life in the past--the life of a Jew. The future for man lies in his views and perception of the single past event of the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. If man view this event as a sacrifice for his sins, he becomes a son of God. In other interpretation eternally closes the door of man's future.

The destiny of man lies in that single past event.

Regards

Emile
