Good Day Mr. Vidrine
I believe that all people are looking to some future event to clarify or give credence to their belief systems. It is an easy statement to make and much harder to clarify.

Christians, while firmly embedded in a belief system that is anchored in the past, look to the Second Coming, an actualization of belief, that lies in the future.

Many cultures and religions, firmly rooted in history, culminate in the future, not in the past.

The penultimate reality is shaped internally, the actualization of that reality is the purpose of time, and it is an external event.

The ultimate reality lies in the future. It is an easy thing to lose sight of, the future.
