My original point, however, to you was that Lewinsky and Tripp were in engaging in conversation for a year before Tripp actually began the taping.

Now come ON, Betty! First of all, you said that according to the UTTERLY veracious Lucianne G they'd been in communication about Monica's affair for TWO years. AND you said that Monica and Linda had been friends in the White House, which--let's face it--would have given the story of the affair a hell of a lot more credibility. Only it ain't true. Instead, Monica arrives at the Pentagon, sucks up to Tripp (always on the lookout for gossip about presidential women, as the "outline" of her proposed "book", submitted to Goldberg, testifies), and tells her god knows what. Or when. Or why.

You say they were "engaging in conversation for a year before Tripp actually began the taping"? How the hell do YOU know? We're supposed to take Lucianne's word for this?

Gimme a break.
