Dear Christine,
Many historical accounts of Jesus life state that very large crowds would gather to him. I suppose the healings were not common and the love that was coming from Him was so wonderful and so freely given that people came from all around. There was a point when the leaders of Israel demanded a sign and He became angry for the basis of His healings was love for the person and not a dog and pony show. Raising people from the dead happened on more than one occasion and is recorded in Josephus. This had to be a clear message to all that I AM is here among you. Who else can breath life other than the Creator. The leaders at the time decided He was satanic (shocking isn't it)
because His miracles were so profound they demanded an answer from them. Remember these are the leaders that had every right to claim they were His people, but if you read how He responded to their arrogance I think you will see how He will respond to the religous people today that are like them. Emile made a post on Ask God about Sodom and they neglected the poor and in a study of the Bible that is the biggest single reason for Gods wrath we can even see it in the New Testament in a story Jesus told of the rich man that ended up in hell for neglecting a poor beggar at his gate while he lived in comfort. The love from Jesus is His greatest miracle and that is what draws me to Him like a moth to the light. Have a wonderful day, Nancy
