FingerMatrix Launches International Marketing of CHEK/ONE Access
Control System

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1996--FingerMatrix Inc. (NASDAQ/EBB:FINX), pioneers in electronic fingerprinting technology, has initiated international marketing of its advanced single-finger, live-scan systems for positive verification of identity and control of access to data networks and sensitive physical areas.

Thomas T. Harding, president, reported distributor agreements have just been signed with a large reseller in Sweden and two others in the United States, all of which will be marketing FingerMatrix products. The company expects to add others over coming months to form an international marketing network.

"Electronic Data Systems (EDS) is currently conducting a Beta test program with the CHEK/ONE and initial results are very favorable," Harding said. He added that IBM in England also has taken delivery of a CHEK/ONE for a similar test series, which will get under way shortly.

FingerMatrix also has recently introduced its CHEK/TEN system which scans, digitizes and records not one but all 10 fingerprints, a requirement of the law enforcement community. Several foreign countries, as well as leading system integrators here in the U.S. have shown avid interest in this advanced "ten-printer," Harding said.

The CHEK/ONE has a wide range of applications in commerce and industry, many of which are just now being realized. These include controlling access to computer rooms, individual terminals or data networks; wire transfer terminals and vaults in banks, even replacing time clock-time card equipment in plants and offices.
