Actually, I think the Pres. of the ABA;s opinion is probably accorded too much deference and weight by non-lawyers anyway. I generally make it a point to ignore such pronouncements even when I do agree with them. As I said, I don't think the head of a trade organization's opinion counts for anything more than any other member in good standing. As you know, if you put six lawyers in a room with a potential client, you are likely to get at least seven different opinions about the potential case. But, obviously "the navy blue dress and other innuendo" sells better. News (like law) is a business too. $$$$ makes the world go round. JLA
