Broccoli cannot be hidden, but wonderful casseroles can be made with it. Have you tried Campbell's cream of broccoli soup? It might be a gentle incursion into the world of broccoli. You could make broccoli milkshakes with vanilla ice cream or low fat frozen yogurt, perhaps. Sounds gross, but I had dill pickle ice cream once, and it was very good.

Broccoli is not the Absolute Crucifer, however. There are many paths to Envitament, and my concern would be that you might turn her off to broccoli for life, when in fact all its nutrients can be obtained in other foods, and supplements.

My daughter started loving broccoli when we started getting take out Chinese stir fry dishes with it, like broccoli beef. Somehow, the other exciting flavors, and the novelty of the experience, and the freshness and crispness, all combined to help her appreciate it.

Your son is very wise. Most pediatricians would be delighted that your children eat a lot of fruit, and apples have always been perceived even in folk medicine as almost magical.
