Adaptec calls there 1394 Firewire Hot Connect. They have two adaptor boards that I have seen in J and R Computer World's catalog out of New York City. They are in stock and shipping now. Here is the info: Adaptec Hot Connect 8920 - 279.99 This is a 1394 to PCI card. Adaptec Hot Connect 8945 - 549.99 This is a 1394 to PCI and Ultra Wide SCSI card taking up just one PCI slot.
