It is not incriminating that Lewinsky would be in the Oval Office for awhile if the reason for her being there is credible. However, as I recall, Clinton said he did not believe he had ever been alone with her, or at least could not recall, and also seemed to be coaching Betty Currie to say the same thing. And his recollection is that she dropped mail off once in awhile, very briefly. So "She'll be here for awhile" to the Secret Service would contradict Clinton's previous statements on the matter.
That is not really what I want to talk about, however. I have tried to answer your post about the possibility of indicting Monica Lewinsky three times, and each time I click on "Respond" I have to boot myself out after my screen freezes. The last time that happened to me was at the beginning of the hacker attack at SI. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Anyway, I will answer here. I found the article I read, in U.S. News and World Report:

The concept, as I understand it, is that Starr is already so unpopular he may have little to lose. The charge would be obstruction of justice--I assume for the talking points issue--and he would name Clinton as an unindicted coconspirator. And it could be done only if there is a ruling on the immunity issue that she has none, in regard to the letter Ginzburg says is binding. |
