Which sorry specimens might you be talking about? I put Reagan, Bush, Ford and Carter on my good specimen list from recent history. I'd exclude Nixon, Johnson, Clinton, Kennedy. I don't know enough about Truman or FDR to make a judgment. Personally, I think all these specimens good and bad were at least qualified to be President (with the exception of Nixon who I thought did a credible job but at too high a cost) . I don't feel that way about Bubba. Just my opinion. JLA
