BREAKING NEWS LOS ANGELES TIMES: PANETTA URGES CLINTON TO GIVE FULL STORY DRUDGE REPORT By Matt Drudge Sat Apr 18 '98 17:10:41 PDT Former White House chief of staff Leon Panetta says President Clinton should give a full accounting of what exactly went down in the Monica Lewinsky mess, Sunday's LOS ANGELES TIMES is set to report. Mark Barabak files from San Francisco after a lengthy interview with Panetta. "In the short term, you can stonewall this area and even look like you're successful doing it," Panetta tells the TIMES. "But ultimately it catches up with you." Panetta, while taking Clinton at his word that he had no improper relationship with Lewinsky, believes the president still owes "an explanation to the American people" about the relationship.
