These last two responses remind me of another joke.

A man is sent to jail for life and is sitting in his cell with his cellmate. All of a sudden he hears someone yell "29" and everyone in the cellblock bursts out laughing. Again he hears "17" and more laughter. The new prisoner then asks his cellmate, "What is everyone laughing at?" The man replies, "We have all been here so long and have heard each others jokes so many times, we numbered them. Now, instead of telling the whole joke, we refer to it by number. Go ahead, you try it."

The new prisoner figures he can give it a try, even though he doesn't know any of the jokes and yells "13". Nothing happens so he tries it again. "27" he yells and again nothing so he asks his cellmate, "Why don't they laugh?" The old guy says, "Well you know, some people are just no good at telling a joke."
