roger,

You've probably just taken a bath and there's probably not a lot to say to make you feel better. I know Analog is a long term holder, so, he similarly is probably pretty dissapointed.

I never extended my position beyond the 200 share purchase at 43 3/16, so right now, on paper I'm down about $2000, not much considering the overall size of my stake, so I can afford to be patient.

If you look at the facts, expenses were rising disproportionately faster than revenues. For this reason, CHKPF mgmt decided to do something to manage their expenses. This is not an accounting anomoly, but direct action by mgmt. This is a good thing. Further, they will begin the process of outsourcing some support areas, in order to improve customer service and to further reduce expenses, again, this is not an accounting anomoly, but direct intervention by mgmt to manage expenses.

I know this might not help a whole hellavalot when you see the world crashing before your eyes, but, to those fools who have said fundamentals no longer apply, well "Wake up and smell the coffee." CHKPF is going down but under relative terms, not much, wait until you see AMZN, Yahoo dive, or ONSL dive what a sight to see. A front end is just a front end, Barnes and Noble will eventually bury Amazon.

CHKPF will recover, maybe not for a while, but it will recover, just my opinion.

Still, it might be a good idea to consider other stocks to follow, my AMD has been performing pretty well and will have a blowout qtr in a few months, and most people still don't get the point, so again, there is reason to be sanguine.

I know this doesn't help much, sorry.

Good luck to all.
