Holly, Please direct your rant to someone with an aol.com account. I have been using the internet since 1990 and have refused to even consider using an ISP that does not offer a unix shell! My e-mail was first <dchanin@snl.gov>, and then <dchanin@sandia.gov>. I used Sun workstations (Bourne Shell, KornShell, and C Shell--she sells sea shells by the sea shore!), as well as VAX/VMS with a VT-100 terminal to access the internet. I've transferred databases between unix systems and PCs, and know about their different approaches to CR/LF. You have Pine/Pico. That's great! Unix is a very powerful system and I'm sure that there is a way to get it to do what you want. And I understand very well that it may not be easy. Impossible? No! David
