Regarding Ericsson/Nokia outsourcing.

Ericsson has split their outsourcing among SCI, Solectron, and Flextronics. Nokia hasn't outsourced as much; this deal with SCI is probably their biggest deal to date. Flextronics already does some business with Nokia through the former Neutronics unit in Austria/Hungary.

Its beginning to be harder to follow the gains/losses of programs, and trends among customers of the EMS companies. The really big OEM players all seem to be outsourcing with multiple vendors. Its even harder to pin down the specific products. This makes forecasting more difficult. But the good news for the bigger global players, is the loss of one program isn't a show-stopper, since they now usually have multiple programs with their major customers, and more big customers as they grow. All in all, this should reduce the variation we see in reported results, if this trend continues.
