Your perceptions of child development and psychology as psychobabble are very revealing, jlallen. Your posts about Michael Reagan show that you have no abstract understanding whatsoever of what children need to develop in emotionally healthy ways, even though you seem to be doing fine with your own children. I am not sure whether your inability to understand the plight of an adopted child who doesn't even have a regular place to sleep at home is really lack of understanding, or a wish to glorify EVERYTHING about the Reagans when that isn't really necessarily relevant to his political accomplishments. I am not judging Nancy Reagan, however. Nancy herself has acknowledged she was not a very good mother, and all of the children agree with her. I wish you really good luck with your family, but we are so far apart in our world views that discussing any of these issues further would be a waste of time for both of us. Best wishes! Christine
