S. Picker GSCO is probably manipulating the stock, why? Why does a dog lick his . . . So what? Reality is, that the fundamentals of the stock are sound. I am thoroughly enjoying this discussion and strongly agree with the comments in the Globes article. I also agree with David's comments about the DOW, patience is a virtue, but oh what an opportunity this puppy will present after a shake out. The key date for me is the next FOMC meeting, probably for most people as well, but again, my timing has always been a bit screwed up. Its hard to wait at these levels, but a true test of character requires patience. I recall a comment from Ben Graham, "The investor must be prepared to see the stock price drop 30%." Lest we forget what Buffett did when a certain insurance company looked like it was on the brink of bankruptcy. The accounting adjustment does not portend another CD. Again, my complements to all contributors to this very lucid and enlightening discussion.
