Are you sure there are no possible props before October? There could be all sorts of announcements coming soon for all we know. I'm not saying there will be, but I am looking for a few interesting things.

Also, the professional investors like to buy *before* a stock jumps up in price and that could be any time in the next 6 months.

I'm looking for a pickup in Ultra2 SCSI (LVD) and fiber channel. Those are quite promising. I'm also looking for good 1394 sales as the digital video cameras penetrate the market. Note that 1394 and DVD ought to boost Ultra2 SCSI sales as well because of the higher throughput and the negligible CPU overhead.

Some people have raised the issue of Windows 98/Windows NT 5.0 delays. Yes, these could put some damper on sales, but I doubt it will be significant. The Web needs servers and servers need disks with high throughput attached to controllers with low overhead. That's not going to change.
