Except for the last part. It would take quite a bit for me to buy someone else's version. I would have to see very clear superiority in terms of performance and reliability. Price is not a significant factor; I need performance and I will pay to get it. Given the amount of money I have to spend on an entire system, I am not going to equip it with an inferior interface just to save a few bucks. When I go shopping for a SCSI controller, the question is not one of selecting the brand; it is only one of selecting the particular Adaptec model I am going to get. Cheers, Torben
