Alomex,

You responded to my quote:

"There's no question that the company had been screwed up essentially since Jobs had gotten thrown out."

with....

Ahh, isn't hindsight such a wonderful thing....

Back then few here would admit to the troubles Apple was in. Now in the safety of Job's new found direction, we have the bulls slowly but surely saying "of course we knew Apple was screwed up all along"...

What are you talking about? This thread came into existence within the last 2 years, during the Amelio restructuring period. During that time, I don't recall anyone defending Sculley or Spindler as being good managers. What I do remember are people, like myself, defending the superiority of the MacOS technology. There have been plenty of admissions by MacOS supporters on this thread, that Apple was poorly managed by Sculley and Spindler.

If you want to talk about hindsight, how about someone like yourself that seems to have finally bought into "Jobs' new found direction". As recently as last September, you had completely given up on Apple's ability to turn around and had "Dropped out of this thread" for good, while stating "IMHO Steve J. still is in reality distortion if he believes that Apple's niches are enough to keep this company afloat...."

It seems that a couple of quarters of positive earnings have afforded you a bit of "hindsight".
