Brian, Yes, the French countryside is a wonderful place to be. Just about every main village in France has an Office of Tourism where you can get lots of information. Some of the literature is in English, but be sure to ask for the French trail guides as well b/c they are quite good and show many more trails, as well as animals, vegetation, ruins, and other things. There are many informative sites on the web now, too. This looks like a good one for Morocco: tourism-in-morocco.com E
