TO ALL: Talked to Todd this morning. This what I found out 1) The reason why Brazil is so interested in ARC technology: Brazil bought into iridium for $50 million. The satellite went down due to battery problem. On the other hand, ARC system can be repaired easily if something goes wrong. The ARC system also has the software to switch from voice to data for other applications. Representatives from a Brazil insurance company attended the demonstration last Friday. They are interested in using ARC system to track vehicles since vehicle theft is a very serious problem in Brazil. (I guess they will have to hide a device in the car to beam up signals all the time.) PLFM's people will go back to Brazil next week to "close things up". 2) Representative from another country will come in this week for negotiation. 3) Next Friday's Aviation Week will have a feature article on PLFM's ARC system. It will even have a picture of the plane with ADC's name on it. If someone has that magazine, could you scan in the article and post it here ? Thank you in advance. yongzhi
