The initial phase involves 30 planes. That's 10 planes on the air at the same time. The plane will stay on the air for 40 hours before it come back for refueling. I don't how close these 10 sites are and what kind of redundancy will the system have. The plane will fly at 60,000ft, above weather (storms, ect.).
