Trip, What's so ridiculous about the claims?

Dick Rutan flew around the world without landing or refueling two years ago. Autopilots today even land commercial airliners as well as fly the entire flight. Radio control aircraft have been in use for forty years in the military (Darkstar, etc) The cellular technology is already in use. The company already has an operational aircraft that was tested with the cellular technology last friday and passed with flying (sic) colors. The cost of launching one of these aircraft with the system on board and getting it to altitude can't be more than a few thousand dollars, if that much. Compare that cost with the $100,000,000 that it costs to get someone to launch a sattellite for you. What is the problem with the claims? The April SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN MAGAZINE has devoted almost 1/3 of the issue to the entire industry from geostationary sattellites to low earth orbit sattellites, to this exact technology. Pays yo' money, gets on board, or moves out of the way 'cause dis train is about to leave the station.
