Marshall,

At least you're consistent in making weak picks.

I looked at several GP's in February, all of which exhibited poor build quality. Trim pieces were falling off cars on multiple lots, suggesting that the exterior won't maintain its attractiveness for very long. Since you have the time, take a good close look at the welds around the exhaust manifold. Also note the cheap plastic fuel line that runs right over your break fluid reservoir. While you're at it, you might also want to inspect the split insulation around all of the wiring.

The interior remains truly sad. Subjective impressions of the dashboard, etc. aside, there is still WAY too much pastel colored plastic in the GP. Rattles aplenty.

If you take the car through an underbody wash, you'll likely unleash a host of electrical gremlins. I discovered this one on my own. Long-term test cars, which are really only a few months old, have not done well with great consistency. Problems vary, but the electrical system always seems to be an issue.

In short, the GP is an overdone expensive monstrosity destined for an early trip to the junkyard. Rather than reward GM for such sloppy work, I went Japanese.

Jonathan
