Marshall,

Ever try getting a Pontiac dealership to fix anything under warranty? I'd be willing to bet the techs will start to find problems in around 3 years, or 36,000 miles.

In addition to what I've already suggested, I'd urge you keep an eye on that dashtop. I suspect you'll be greeted with a few squeaks rather soon. So many seams, so much plastic, and so little care exercised during the assembly process translates to rattles galore. Also keep an eye on the rubber seals along the rear driver-side door and rear passenger-side door. The seals have a habit of detaching, mainly because Pontiac doesn't feel the need to use an adhesive at these locations. If you look, you'll find that the seal consists of two long rubber pieces, with a clearly visible seam when the door is open. The seals tend to detach at this seam.

If you opted for the Delco system w/CD changer, be on the lookout for electrical interference when the defroster and the radio are operating at the same time. For fun, you might also want to attach a thermometer to the lighted buttons on your instrument panel. Make sure it measures temperature in Kelvin.

Out of curiosity, did you happen to get the Eye-Cue system? Really have to compliment Pontiac on being the first automaker to successfully mass-produce a crooked heads-up speedometer.

Jonathan
