Making a profit whether against the trend or with it is still making money.

Daytraders should not care about the end of the day figures, just whether or not they are on the plus side or the minus. You're plus. This is a good thing. Try to relax with that. The plan is to be positive more often than negative. The core trade still is your primary deal. The rest of this is just something you are passing the time with, while waiting for another type of signal........
