Absolutely nothing wrong with using something that works.

It just sounds difficult. You operated in an environment that saw a range of 1350 basis points. Then you exited perhaps unchanged or slightly better. If you had no stop at all, it could have been very costly.

What was your stop, 6 points or more? Why not trail such a stop, instead of giving up the potential of a 1050 point gain?
