Sonki, I tend to agree with you about the editorial leanings of Barrons, and especially their lead columnist, Alan Abelson. Who I frankly think has moved deeply into an old curmudeon frame of mind.

But Barrons is not monolithic. Much of their content consists of interviews or roundtable discussions with various Wall Street notables. Sometimes those can be valuable IMHO.

I first bought Wcom last May after reading a year ago April Barrons telecom roundtable that also included Grubman. And Castro as well, I think, but am not sure. I could look but am too lazy. <g> Anyway, glad I bought. I now have quite a lot (mostly through MCIC, as a bit of additional upside arbitrage.)

I thought this year's roundtable was excellent. (Though they were lousy on the satellite stocks, but really that isn't their areas of expertise. They are right that satcoms aren't gonna hurt the other telecoms for a long time (if ever)).
