Magic Entertainment, Inc. Announces Completion of First Feature Film; Film To Be Released In Fall 1998
NEW YORK (May 18) BUSINESS WIRE -May 18, 1998--Magic Entertainment, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Miracle Group, Inc. (OTC BB: MVEE) today announced that it has completed filming its first feature film, "Lima: Breaking The Silence." The film, directed by Menahem Golan and co-produced with Nu Image, is expected to be released this Fall and is now in post production.
"Lima", a political thriller, is based on the true story of the hostage crisis that lasted 170 days at the Japanese Embassy in Lima, Peru last year. LIMA stars Joe Lara, Christopher Atkins, Julie St. Claire, Darren Foy, Billy Drago, Charles Napier, and Richard Lynch. The movie will either be released theatrically or directly to video.
The film marks the first production of Golan-Globus, co-chairmen of Magic Entertainment. Commenting on the announcement, Menahem Golan, co-chairman, stated, "We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the film and believe audiences will be as well. We look forward to its release this Fall."
