Three southern belles meet for lunch at a gracious restaurant. After the usual pleasantries, the first announces, "I declare, my husband is such a sweetheart, he's going to buy me a brand new Cadillac for my birthday!"
Belle #3 coos, "Well, ain't that nice."
Belle #2 remarks, "My man, he's such a darlin', he's going to buy me that big white house overlooking the river for our anniversary!"
Belle #3 says "Well, ain't that nice.", at which point #1 asks her, "How about you, honey, what's your hubby gonna get you?"
Belle #3 responds, "Why he did already! He sent me for ettiquette lessons!"
Belle #2 asks, "Ettiquette lessons, what's that?"
Belle #3 answers, "Well, I used to say 'you lying bitch', but now I just exclaim 'Ain't that nice'." |
