Craig,
Rather than blathering idiot, I prefer my original, "Supremely stupid."
I had completed my earnings projections, saw a shift in unit volumes, slower growth rates, lack of floodgate impact, and ignored these facts in favor of listening to someone with an alternate point of view of the future. I also confess to minimizing the impact of the Microsoft comments to the Isrealites.
If I insulted you, I appologize, please read the complete post and understand, "You may look like a genious." Perhaps its a part of my personality to give a complement and insult at the same time. Again, I'm sorry if you took it as an insult.
Finally, I'm still holding, not because of faith, but because I still feel this stock is undervalued. I've persued other more obvious plays, but am not giving up on CHKPF.
Ben Graham suggested that an investor should easily be prepared to watch the value of his holding drop by as much as 30% before getting nervous. While CHKPF for my meager holding has dropped beyond 30%, I still feel comfortable (Long term), in waiting. Phil Fisher suggests a 3 year holding period. In this industry this is perhaps too long, but, the more I study this, the more I find its not changing as quickly as some would lend us to believe.
Good luck. |
