Dr.: To be sure, you have asked this thread the 64-bit questions whose answers would get us to the heart of the matter:

- product money-makers today and later;

- market sectors: competitors, sector "commoditization" issues, and their sensitivity to external factors;

- Adaptec's cut of those markets now and later;

- What can we learn from insiders/experts, their behavior and pronouncements.

I propose we tackle these one by one, either in serial or parallel.

Let me think about where I might contribute.
