Tom, I think the computers are playing this market among themselves... running very quickly in one direction then the other, taking out any short term trading opportunity.. which means they're attacking the most vulnerable direction, up. If the general market were to capitulate they'd drive it down. If you're watching the spread like I am I'm seeing some amazing gyrations.. -65 then litterally two seconds later up 250, then down a hundred, then up again. this can only be computers having their own version of a slice and dice party.
