Ellison, Thank you for the intelligent posting. I agree with what you say about the NC. I see it as a re-engineered X-terminal. Sun has worked long & hard at getting a high-quality, net-bootable intelligent terminal in place. It will save time & money in every corporate computing environment. All your points are well taken and will be studied closely by MIS purchasing managers over the next few quarters. I can't figure out why Sun's stock is so undervalued at this point. The PC industry is nervous. Maybe it's a "Comdex Effect". I'll tell you something. I was around for the PC wars back in 1980 when a fledgling company called Microsoft introduced a new, cheaper computer operating system for the office. IBM was nervous about the new, small machine that seemed to have so much computing power. They treated it with utter contempt & begrudingly marketed it, hoping it wouldn't eat into 3270 terminal sales. I can see the same thing coming out of Wintel today. dennisw
