New Agreement Features Vintage Radio Shows By Such Entertainers as 'Burns & Allen,' 'Jack Benny,' and 'Abbott & Costello' Via OEN's Internet-Based Entertainment Destination, 'SongQuest' (www.songquest.com)
LOS ANGELES, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- On-Line Entertainment Network, Inc. (www.oen.com), a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobalNet Systems, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: ISDN - news), announced an exclusive pay-per-listen and merchandising agreement today with pre-eminent archival marketer, Radio Spirits, Inc. to offer vintage radio programming over the Internet on an On- Demand/Pay-Per-Listen basis.
OEN's one-of-a-kind, Internet-based ''SongQuest'' system delivers full CDs and tracks, samples as well as live shows and special events on an audio-on- demand/pay-per-listen basis, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The over 100 hours of vintage radio shows in their original half-hour format, will join OEN's continually-growing listening library of music and comedy from such companies as Warner Brothers Records, Atlantic Records and National Lampoon, among others. Listeners will be able to purchase and listen to a selection of the original half-hour shows from Radio Spirit's extensive catalog, including ''Superman,'' ''The Lone Ranger'' (featuring Clayton Moore), ''Dragnet,'' ''Gunsmoke,'' ''The Jack Benny Show,'' ''The Burns & Allen Show'' and many more.
Radio Spirits will have their own area created on the OEN ''SongQuest'' site which will offer vintage radio's many fans an extensive selection of CDs and cassettes containing their favorite shows. All of Radio Spirit's products will be available for purchase using OEN's unique Virtual Entertainment Card (VEC), which provides speedy, secure transactions without interrupting the listener's vintage radio experience.
