Leland, its not just pricing.. its production capacity rising on a curve that intersects the dropping curve in pricing. Deep pockets backed by governments in Asia, Japan, and S. Korea see the race to capture market share as a national priority.. it is. As those two curves of capacity and pricing ran into a slow down in demand, whole currencies became vulnerable. I see another danger brewing in the Tigers (Taiwan, SKorea, Indonesia and Japan for discussion) shipping their production off shore to China, an even lower cost producer. This makes sense for the corporations there, but puts the county out of work... just when they need to have higher employment.
