Right. And Republican leaders to be simplistic are tobacco whores. Pretty good deal for tobacco. Give the party 50 min. and save 350 bin. My they sold out cheap. Didn't seem to matter almost all new smokers are kids. Great issue for the Dems. Kids or tobacco whores. Wrong. The Dems's biggest contributors, the trial lawyers, stood to reap $$$ TENS OF BILLIONS $$$. Money for fat cat lawyers and the Dems at the expense of the poor. That makes the Dems the biggest whores in history! As if they weren't already. Btw, Sen. Kerry gave it away when he said that the tobacco tax wasn't a tax but a "user fee" because it was "voluntary". Since it is "voluntary" that means there are no tobacco addicts. And guess what? It's a loser for the Dems despite their demagoguery - over 60% of the voters say that the tobacco bill was an effort to raise taxes and get more $$$, not to help kids. That old mantra "for the kids" seems to have been played too many times - the voters are wising up.
